Sophie Achekian is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.), in the State of California, specializing in integrative care with an emphasis on post-accident rehabilitation and personal injury recovery.
Mrs. Achekian earned her Master of Traditional Oriental Medicine degree from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, graduating summa cum laude. Her clinical training included externships at the UCLA Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center and the Venice Family Clinic, where she provided comprehensive acupuncture treatments within multidisciplinary healthcare settings.
Prior to her medical training, Mrs. Achekian completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She then spent over a decade as an Account Executive in the Los Angeles advertising industry, where she developed a strong foundation in client relations, strategic communication, and professional leadership.
In her current private practice in Sherman Oaks, Mrs. Achekian utilizes her clinical expertise in pain management and functional recovery following traumatic injury. She integrates classical Chinese medical theory with contemporary biomedical insights to deliver precise, results-oriented treatments. Her mission is to facilitate comprehensive recovery, addressing both the physical and emotional aspects of traumatic injury.
